Blue Bayou Bungalows are for sale! There are three Beach Bungalows, two on the water and one across the beach road with great views. Utila is the smallest of the Bay Islands of Honduras, a politically calm country with foreign ownership of property legal. Blue Bayou Bungalows are a short mile down the beach road (past the local swimming hole and beach restaurants) to Utila Town, the only town on the Island. The island is serviced by ferry (13 miles to La Ceiba, about 1 hour) three times daily and 6 airplane flights (La Ceiba, about 12 minutes) daily. Utila is known for diving, whale sharks, and is an European and American vacation travel destination. (see ace-realty com for more information). The Bungalows lie on approximately 2/3 acre, from Beach front to the Oyster Bay Lagoon.

There are three Bungalows, actually two bungalows and an apartment. (please see homeexchange com/EAframeset php?id=32448 for pictures and descriptions) The main Bungalow, The Beach House, is a wooden beach house, one bedroom, kitchen/lr/br, the Beach House is a studio with kitchen, and the Bodega Apartment is a studio with kitchenette and bath. The Beach House is great for Caribbean laid back living! There are wooden porch swings on the two beachfront bungalows and plenty of space to be outside. All three are air conditioned and have fans. All the complex has back up solar and wind generators, extra water storage, a laudry area for the three.

We live on Utila part time and rent the Bungalows the rest of the time (except Sept/Oct/Nov due to bad weather). We rent approximately 80% of time when we are not there. see vrbo com/22474.

We would consider owner financing or trade for another second home, preferably Mexico (San Miguel Allende or other non-beach area) as payment or partial payment.
