The Luckanawadee has been designed in a very creative and unique style, fusing southern Thai design with tropical European architecture, Blended with the lush tropical landscape and gardens, we will give you an experience that rejuvenates your senses and makes your soul feel alive.

The resort has been thoughtfully and uniquely designed to take full advantage of the magnificent views, the cooling sea breezes, and to maximize outdoor Thai style living.

The gardens encompass the lush tropical landscape representing the magnificence of Khao Lak’s natural flora. Take a stroll through the grounds and experience a natural paradise made up of palm and coconut trees, tropical plants, water gardens, and exotic flowers. Relax and sunbath on the quiet and serene Khao Lak Beach. Hear the gentle wave’s splash next to you as you have an invigorating Thai massage.

We have a “Feel at Home Philosophy”, making Luckanawadee the most inviting choice for discerning travelers, and with all the comforts of home. We do not even have a formal reception area. We feel that being to commercialized takes away from the unique experience of staying with us. We want you to feel as if we were a family friend, and we invited you to come and stay at our beach house.


ACCOMODATIONS

With only 9 suites at Luckanawadee, and we are able to cater to your every need, and provide you with a level of one on one service that can not be found anywhere else



There are two beach front villas. Each beach villa is situated on 100 square meter plots with 72 square meters of personal space within. There is a wrap around terrace on each villa with beautiful views of the beach and the Andaman Sea. Both of the Villas are also positioned with the pool right out of the front door of the villa. Also, there are private gardens on one side of the terrace. The villas are decorated in a modern Asian style, with rose wood, and teak furniture, and wonderful paintings ranging from Traditional Thai to ultra modern, painted by local artists. Both villas have 42 inch Plasma Screen TV’s and surround sound stereo systems. The ceilings are 20 foot and vaulted. Villa #2 has an indoor marble bathroom, and an outdoor teak and stone bathroom, with a very large 2 person Jacuzzi tub, there is also a glass roof to enjoy the moon and the stars while soaking with your lover. Both Villas have Marble and Travertine floors and bathrooms.

There is a total of 7 garden suites all decorated differently but equally tasteful with custom built teak, and palm wood furniture. All of the suites have 32 inch Plasma screen TV’s, leather couches, marble showers, and 2 person Jacuzzi tubs,

The largest garden suite is situated on a 70 square meter plot, and has a 32 square meter terrace.

The Dual view suite has wonderful views of the beach and the mountains. This Suite also has an outdoor 2 person Jacuzzi.

There are five Jr. Suites that are around 58 square meters each. Each unit has 28 square meter terraces and balconies.

Since we want you to feel completely at home we have a very large kitchen and dining room for your use. The Kitchen has African black Granite tops and custom built palm wood cabinets. All of the appliances in the Kitchen are stainless steel. The dining room is very spacious with a custom built solid teak table, with seating for up to 16 people. There is a sitting area with chocolate brown leather couches facing two pieces of beautiful Thai artwork. There is a 20” Plasma screen at the island in the kitchen in case you would like to watch the news as you have breakfast. Outside of the kitchen there is a large stainless steel BBQ grill, in case you would like to do some of your own poolside grilling.



There is a multi purpose Entertainment room with a 120 inch cinema screen and a full surround sound stereo system for your enjoyment. There is also a full selection of DVD’s, ranging from family movies, action, drama, love stories, horror, Sci- Fi, and of course cartoons for the kids when they get bored. There is plenty of seating in the Cinema Room with an oversized Leather Couch, and several other leather couches and loungers. All of the furniture in this room is custom built from beautiful, local palm woods. There is also a work desk in the room with a computer, and free internet access. We also have free broadband Wi-Fi connection throughout the entire property, and all the way out to the beach.

Soul Fusion is quickly earning its name as Khao Lak Beach’s living room. You will find dramatic ocean views, and the most intimate table settings that will provide you one of the most amazing sunset dining experiences that Thailand has to offer.

TOURS & TRIPS

There are many adventurous experiences to be had in Khao Lak, and the surrounding areas. We can arrange for you to visit the absolutely breathtaking Khao Sok Natural Park.
It is covered by the oldest evergreen rainforest in the world, huge limestone mountains shooting straight up in the air, deep valleys, beautiful lakes, exciting caves, wild animals and much more. The whole park covers 645 square kilometers. It is actually the heart of a complex of five continuous conservation sites that comprise the largest protected forest on the Thai-Malay peninsula, covering over 4,000 square kilometers.

Elephant trekking, trekking on foot, canoeing and jeep safaris are all possible activities, which will give you the experience of a lifetime. This park has an unbelievable array of wildlife including leopards, Malaysian Sun Bears, Malaysian tapir, sorrows, wild Asian Elephants, wild boars, numerous primates ( dusky langurs, pig – tailed macaques, white handed gibbons), and literally half a dozen tigers. In total there are 48 mammal species. There are also many waterfalls to experience in the Khao Lak area.


If you like to dive or snorkel, Khao Lak and is the launching point for one of the top diving destinations in the world, The Similan and Surin Islands. Renowned for their colorful marine life, vast coral gardens and clear waters, the Similan group of islands attracts many divers and snorkeler’s from around the world. . The Luckanawadee Resort is only 5 minutes drive from the launching pier.


If you like to fish, Khao Lak and the Similan Islands is definitely the place to come.
The islands are home to many types of game fish, such as: Black Marlin, Sailfish, Wahoo, Narrow-Barred Spanish Mackerel, Barracuda, Giant Trevally, Blue Finned Trevally, Dorado, Queen Fish, Cobia, Rainbow Runner, several species of Tuna and also various species of Shark.

There are many scuba diving schools located around Khao Lak, offering a wide range of facilities. . Phang- Nga province also has an annual 7-day turtle releasing Festival in March. Turtles raised by the Fisheries Dept. are released by Festival participants into the sea at Thai Muang Beach

For those of you who like to golf, there is a wide array of superb golf courses in Khao Lak, one of which is just 5 minutes from the resort.

Tablamu Royal Navy Golf Course

This course is laid out on the long, white sandy Son-Ngam Beach with the tropical rain forest hills of Khao Lak behind, providing a very distinctive tropical character. The rich variety of birds and the lush vegetation combine the golf game with a natural experience.

Also very within 20 minutes from the resort is the Thai Muang Golf Course

The only seaside championship golf course along the Andaman Sea - dramatic holes, lush, far away, and breath taking scenery. Thai Muang golf club poses fascinating test of skill for golfers of every level taking them through the full range of human emotions, from sheer exasperation to pure ecstasy. Panoramic views of the mountains and the sea, course design, and planning of the game will stay in your mind forever.

Then there is the world renowned Blue Canyon Championship Golf Course about 45 minutes drive from the resort.

One of the premier courses in the region, Blue Canyon is set in a secluded valley, overlooked by Phuket's famous hills. Host to the Johnnie Walker Classics in 1994, 1998, 2004, and 2007. The Honda Invitational was also held here in 1996. The club offers two 18 hole, championship golf courses, Canyon Course and Lakes Course.
The world championship Canyon course has won a number of international awards, including "Asian & Pacific Golf Course of the Year 1999" (Hertz International Golf Travel Awards) and the Top 500 Best Holes in the World" for its par 3, 17th hole.
The previous golf courses were some of the closest and best courses in and near to Khao Lak, there are many, many more just a short one hour drive away in Phuket.




THE ENVIROMENT

We consider ourselves to be an Eco Friendly, “Green” Resort. We try to reduce consumption of water and power every chance we get, we pre-sort and recycle everything that can be recycled, and we encourage our guests to reuse their towels when possible. We are also currently converting our pool to a chemical free system.

Upon the opening of the Luckanawadee, we vowed to give back and donate a percentage of all our profits to local foundations and charities.

We are currently in the process of founding our own Conservation Society. We would love for our guests to help us take part in local preservation and conservation, by helping us plant mangrove trees or releasing baby sea turtles into the ocean when hatched yearly at the fisheries department.

Khao Lak has done a wonderful job in preserving the local ecosystem, both on land and in water. Khao Lak is actually one of the only beaches in Thailand that prohibits jet skis and speedboats. By limiting the activity in the water, we are able to keep Khao Lak’s marine ecosystem unspoiled. Four of the seven species of Sea Turtles still come to Khao Lak to lay their eggs.
