The backpackers hostel is set in beautifully landscaped gardens just 50 metres from the Indian Ocean and close to town and local ammenities.

The buildings are a combination of traditional and modern materials, with the bar/restaurant being a large roundavel positioned centrally. There are four chalets providing comfortable accommodation for up to 10 people and a large dormitory which easily accommodates 10. The swimming pool is new and is salt water. Behind the pool is a large lapa, providing further lounge area. There are also a further couple of chalets made from local material. The kitchen is close to the bar/restaurant and provides ample catering space. There is also a large storage area. The ablutions are built from modern material and hot water is supplied by donkey boiler. The manager's house is a larger version of the chalets, with en-suite

There is a further piece of land (approx 30x40m) which is undeveloped.

There is mains electricity and a back up generator. Gas is currently bottle supplied although it is possible to connect to mains. Water is provided by a borehole. Again, mains is possible.

Vilanculos is a vibrant town on the coast and is the gateway to Bazaruto National Park, which is well known for diving on its pristine coral reefs, snorkeling, deep sea fishing and home of the rare dugong.

There are thrice daily flights to Johannesburg, twice weekly to Durban and Swaziland aswell as daily internal flights to Maputo, Beira and further North. The road network from Maputo has been upgraded which makes road travel easy, even in a small vehicle.
