It is located about 20 minutes by boat from the second largest barrier reef in the world, where underwater diving, snorkling, fly fishing and deep sea fishing are listed as the best in the world by affectionados in those sports. The area is gaining in popularity by bird watchers, nature lovers, kayakers and canoeists. There are guides and rental businesses nearby for those interested in these types of activities.

Two miles away is the quaint Garifuna village of Hopkins with its colorful houses and friendly people. There are two diving lodges in the area and many nearby resturants, varying in selection from local cuisine, fast-foods and gourmet meals.

Sittee Point Subdivision is located about a 30 minutes drive from the Dangriga airport where commuter planes have frequently scheduled flights into Belize City. One can easily drive on paved roads to various destinations within Belize via the scenic Southern, Hummingbird and Western Highways.
