The main house was a time a little abbey of St Augustine friars of which is surviving the gorgeus ancient choir hall

HISTORY:

In a dominant position, on a hilltop of Perugia's Settevalli, in the XVI century the little Abbey of St Augustine was built. These lands of the Papal States were dotted with small abbeys and the Friars of this country used to meet in the Choir Hall of this one, where the celestial sounds of Vespers faded away into the vaulted ceiling.
In the XVI century the abbey, partially ruined, was bought by a aristocratic family and named Castellaccio, in the XIX century it was used as farmhouse and in 1995 the new owners started the restore with great care retaining the ancient features and looking for to know all about the architectural appearances of this building
