This beautiful Spanish colonial villa was designed and furnished by an artist who works at jobs sites in the US. The property is set into the mountainside of the extinct "Volcan de Agua" and looks out over the rolling hills of the valley below and two other volcanoes. Surrounded by farmland with "campesinos" walking their burros to the fields, the property is a refuge from the bustle of urban life. Birds serenade the sunrise. Within the walled compound is one other home in addition to the residence of the guard/doorman and his wife who cleans the house three times a week. (Additional maid services can be arranged.) A full time gardener tends magnificent gardens where you can stroll and pick flowers to fill the home.

The second floor is dedicated to the master bedroom suite, with dressing room and bath, magnificent views and roofed terraces.

Because the area is a mile high, it is neither too hot nor too humid; the temperature is ideal and there is always a breeze. Windows can be left open at night without insects. The sun is hot and the sky clear. The whole countryside is very lush and beautiful, a riot of vivid color. All year round, one eats outside on the terraces. A gym and spa is just a few minutes away with massage services, a personal trainer, weights, aerobics classes, jacuzi, sauna and a beautiful pool.

Downtown Antigua with its restaurants and night life are only ten minutes away by car. A four wheel drive mini-SUV can be rented for $75 per week.
