Gargano's National Park safeguards a very rich, natural, cultural, religious and artistic inheritance. Gargano's nature is strong, wild and very varied: terraced fields, olive plantations, citrus orchards, rows of Aleppo, pines, the impenetrable cloak of Umbra forest, the lakes of Lesina and Varano inhabited by ducks, herons and cormorants, the steep white coast displays alternating large sandy shores, small bays, deep inlets, caves and marine cliffs.
