About the Area

Angel Valley Farm B&B is situated at the hub of a growing ex-pat community called “Rancho Lobo/Angel Valley” It is in Los Angeles Sur, about 3.5km north of San Ramon, a bustling town of 30,000 known locally as the “City of Poets” and home to several ex-Presidents. San Ramon is only 40 minutes from the international airport in Alajuela, one hour to San Jose and one hour to the Pacific Coast. It’s also about 1.25 hours the famous Arenal Volcano. The B&B is located just off the main road to Arenal Volcano, the most traveled tourist road in the country. It’s far enough off the road so there is no noise but close enough to walk down our long driveway to the local restaurant. The front of the house has incredible views of the valley. Nearby in San Ramon are many shops, supermarkets, movie theaters, a branch of the University of Costa Rica, and more! The famous Los Angeles Cloud Forest is just 10km up the road. There are also swimming parks, zoos, tilapia farms and much more in the area. The immediate area surrounding the B&B has a river and several waterfalls, hiking trails and more.

The climate is outstanding with warm but moderate temperatures averaging 71 degrees year round—warm days and cool nights. No air conditioning or heating is needed, only an occasional sweater in the evening or light blanket during winter for sleeping.
