This fully furnished lodge rests at the foot of Volcano Hornopiren, and is bordered by the beautiful Rio Negro. A trail to the summit of the dormant volcano begins approximately 50 meters from the front door, affording experts and laymen alike with a long hike and spectacular views of the bay, town, Volcano Yates, and more. Less than 20 meters from our back door lies “Rio Salvaje,” an aptly named stretch of Rio Negro, filled with rapids and 10 meter deep pools. Salmon of more than 20 kilos have been caught on the neighboring property.

The land is one hectare of beautifully landscaped terrain with fruit trees (apple, plum, cherry, avocado, orange, and lemon), patches of raspberries, and large stands of exotic Nalcas (similar but larger than the American Elephant Ear). A shaded hammock gives a view of the river from one edge of the long, fenced viewing area. Two paths lead down to private areas on the water’s edge. The Lodge is constructed of Alerce and has different but equally beautiful woods inside. Each room has its own unique wood and scent. Hand crafted furniture tops the shiny, hard wood floors, creating a warm, homey feeling. There are eight, double occupancy bedrooms in this 400 +/- sq meter (4,200 +/- sq foot) lodge. Five are downstairs, all with private bath rooms. Living room with fireplace, dining room, kitchen, tv room, reading area, map area, separate maids quarters off the kitchen with bathroom, porch, and terrace complete the first floor. The second floor has three bedrooms, with shared bathroom, and separate living/tv room. There is room for an additional bedroom and bath. Outside there is a 22 +/- sq meter (240+/- sq ft) cabin with attached carport.

Located in the Tenth Region of Chile, 112 km South of Puerto Montt, in the Zona de Naturaleza, you and your guests can enjoy the protected large growth forests, rivers, fjords, lakes and natural hot springs. Hornopiren national park is only 11km away, and it’s only 12 km to the exquisitely beautiful Lago Pinto Concha. There are several cascades in the area, two of which are a only a little over a kilometer away. Rio Blanco, a river the color of milky jade, is about 3 km. (All rivers are clean enough to drink out of.) Some of the activities in the area include, fly fishing, kayaking, horse back riding, yachting, camping, and much more.
