Pioneer Camp is a busy lodge on the edge of Lusaka, only 20 minutes from the Airport. It has recently been upgraded to 11 thatched chalets and a cottage. Well known for the luxuriously furnished chalets, excellent food and friendly bar, Pioneer has gone from strength to strength in the last few years and is very often fully booked.

We have a wonderful staff of 16 headed by our lodge manager Alfred, who has been at Pioneer for 9 years. One of the many compliments that we receive is the friendliness of the staff who clearly enjoy their jobs!

There is a staff village within the grounds.

We also have camping grounds and the chalets and camping are amongst the most beautiful miombo woodland - full of birdsong and flowers and hard to believe that we are only 20 minutes drive from town!
