The Town & Surrounding Areas:

San Felice Circeo is situated within the region of Lazio and province of Latina and lies within approximately 100 kilometres (60 miles) south of Rome. It is blessed with arguably the most attractive and cleanest beach within the Roman coast line and boasts Punta Rossa, one of the best scuba diving resorts in Italy. It is a quaint and pretty town with a population of only 9,000 and dates back to the 4th century AC. It is steeped in history, having the Templar Tower (dated 450 BC) and also the Baronial Palace, both situated on top of the Cape, which rises to a maximum peak of approximately 500 meter above sea level. On a clear day, the Cape affords a panoramic view of St. Peters to the north and Ischia island to the south. Other important sites are the Neanderthal Man Cave that was discovered in the 1940’s and the Acropolis, the town’s defensive wall, dating back to 393 AC.

The entire area surrounding the Villa is a designated National Reserve Park. It also houses the famous World War II Museum and the historically important villa of the Emperor Traiano.

The town hosts the seaside Port of Circeo which has a variety of restaurants and attractions.
