Koycegiz lies in the nature conservation area and is only 20 miles from the international airport "Dalaman". The Koycegiz Lake flows into the Mediterranean Sea. During the night the sea turtles "Karetta Carettas" come onto the beach to lay their eggs in the sand and return to the sea in the morning. You will find there the famous ancient city Kaunos with graves on the rocks which are from the times of the Kariers, Greeks,and Romans.

Apart from "Iztuzu" beach there is the "Ekincik" bay with clear and clean water where you can swim. "Cicekli Baba" Highland with a mountain lake is very marvelous and you are able to drive there with an ordinary car and you can climb to the top of the mountains. You can also swim in the "Yunus Emre" Arboretum which has a waterfall and you can go rafting in the "Dalaman River". All of these are possible and are not far away from Koycegiz.

Marmaris is a yacht harbour city (40 miles away)with a lot of pubs, discos, etc.

In K"ycegiz there are daily boat excursions to "Iztuzu and Kaunos" and night pubs and discos.

Climate:

In the Winter you see the snow covered mountains and in the valleys is an orange plantation with fruits at the same time. Our Winter is very mild.
