Beside the rental units there is the main apartment for the owner. This can also be rented in case the new owner will not live steady in the house. If an administrator will be living in the house, he can be accommodated in one of the smaller apartments.

There are two to three women employed, depending to the season. They are a well playing team, one can give a hand to the other or displace her on her day off/ vacation.

Bayahibe and area

Bayahibe is a fishermen village. This area is developing while the village has still its old charm which travellers like. A marina is planed to be build here in the next years, there are nice restaurants, a golf course is planed and the casino just had opened. To live in Bayahibe is comfortable, because there is 24 hours electricity, a company not associated with the government is providing the electricity, also phone, internet and water are available all time.
A boat can be placed in the safe bay of Bayahibe, this is total free.

The village has a nice public beach which you reach from Villa Iguana in less then 10 min. walking. The restaurants, there are around 10, can be reached in 3 min. To the ocean front it is 3 min to walk.
In Bayahibe are 2 dive center, some gift shops, some groceries shops, a doctor, a bank, a school, a church, money exchange places, phone and internet offices.
There is 1 small hotel and different small guesthouses. There are no accommodations directly on the beach, all are in the village, some restaurants are oceanfront.
From Bayahibe start the boats to the islands Saona and Catalina, well known for beautiful beaches and great snorkelling reefs.
For Scuba Diving is Bayahibe the best area of the DR. There are healthy coral reefs where you can see all kind of Caribbean fish. Sites for sharks are near Saona and a wall near Catalina, a wreck, the St. George, more then 80 m long is 5 boat min. from Bayahibe.
The National Park, Parque Nacional del Este starts near Bayahibe. On land with lime stone caves, places where the Taino Indians lived and underwater with great coral reefs. The islands Catalina and Saona are part of the National Park.

Next town is La Romana, 25 min to drive by car. In La Romana is a modern clinic, a well recognized school, teaching in English and there are supermarkets, where you get almost everything.
Between La Romana and Bayahibe is Casa de Campo located, a golf resort with 5 world famous golf courts, 1200 villas, a hotel and the marina. Also part of Casa de Campo is the artist village Altos de Chavon, which as build in 1997 but looks like a real old Spanish village overlooking the river Chavon.
10 min drive away a golf course is under construction and 1 course is planed directly near Bayahibe
To Santo Domingo, the capital, it’s 2 hours to drive. Everything you can’t find in La Romana is available in Santo Domingo.

Next airport is La Romana ( 15 min drive ), then Santo Domingo and Punta Cana ( 1,5 hours from each to Bayahibe )

The price of 699000 US$ for Villa Iguana is without this property. This will cost 120000 US$ on top, if the buyer of Villa Iguana wants to purchase it.
Right now the new owner can choose, buy Villa Iguana like it operates now or purchase also the neighbour property . When construction to expand has started, which will propably not be before spring 2010 only the complete project will be sold. Total price has to be determined then.
