Multi Unit Restored Old Farm Property for Sale in Cardaillac, Lot, France

Authentically Restored Farm House on 50 Acres

The Lot is one of the most beautiful, less populated french region in the South West of France. It is famous for its gastronomy and healthy living. It became fashionable in the seventies because of former french president Georges Pompidou who loved it...
The property, built in the XVIII° century (circa 1780), is located on the face of a small valley, on 50 acres of beautifull wooded and hilly landscape, with two small streams. It is secluded but not isolated, as there are 4 properties around, the nearest being only for vacation, and another being home to a friendly family of typically french farmers who worked this land from generation to generation.
The main house, facing south, has been rehabilitated with all the original character kept. The antique furniture may be separately purchased.
The rest of the structures has an enormous potential and is waiting for "des amoureux of old stones" (old stones' lovers) to bring it back to life, if they wish.
The woods have been preserved, allowing natural regeneration, as has been preserved a small marsh near a stream so herons could come back, and they did. Wild life came back too : roe deers, wild boars, badgers, wild rabbits and hares, red squirrels, martens, foxes, owls, etc..
