There are 2 properties, the main property is 26 acres (10.6 Hectares) and the second property is 11.5 acres (4.5 Hectares). The main property has 2 houses and a barn. The second property has a garage and a one room casita (the sturdy remains of the original house that was torn down). The plans are to add onto the casita to make it another livable house.

After much pruning and tractor work, it is now back in production, but still needs more work to get it into full commercial production.
We grow a variety of wine grapes including Malbec, Bonarda, Chinon blanc, and Torrontes.

There are approximately 2500 (500 are on the smaller property) plum trees (the majority are young trees and just coming into production so the crops yields will increase dramatically over the next few years) along with 100 Apricots, 400 Olives, 100 Pears, approximately 25 apples, 5 walnuts, quince, some fig, pomegranate, cherry, almond, peaches as well as some rhubarb, goji berry, 50 asparagus plants, strawberries and 15 hop plants for home use.
The main property receives 4.5 hours of irrigation water per week, the smaller property receives 4 hours per week.

Estancia de Mackenzie is currently for sale. Due to some unforeseen health problems the current owner can no longer continue to maintain the property.

The main property of 10.6 hectares (26.5 acres) has 2 houses and a barn and is fully planted and in commercial production. It also has 4 spoiled, loving, and very protective dogs that go with the property, a requirement here.

The main house has just undergone major remodeling and currently consists of 2 bedrooms and one large bath with sunken tub, a large American style kitchen, dining room, and large living room, and new laundry room. The bedrooms, kitchen, dining room and bathroom are all ceramic tile floors while the living room floor is wood. Each bedroom has built in wardrobe (closets). It also has a nice summer kitchen/patio off the kitchen with the parilla (wood fired grill) and wood fired oven. There are stairs that lead you up to the roof top terrace (side walls not completely finished yet) where there are incredible views.

The house is heated with a wood stove and also has fireplaces in each of the bedrooms. The finish work has just been completed. There is a large slab and footings for a big addition where a new laundry/ storage room has been built. Plans were to add a master suite and large family/TV room as well as a one bedroom, one bath in-law or domestic apartment. There is also a partially finished studio or guest room in the garden (back yard) behind the house.

There is a large vegetable garden which has produced most of the food for the family as well as provided a couple shops with fresh vegetables to sell, and the area around the house has a nice lawn and has been undergoing landscaping with many perennials, herb garden and flowering shrubs.

The second house was the employee house and now is used as a guest house and vacation rental. It also is 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. It has been rewired, re-plumbed, new ceilings installed, painted, and tiled. There is a newly installed wood stove that keeps the house nice and warm during the cooler months. It has a new bathroom and kitchen. The structure is very sturdy brick construction. It has a small covered front porch, a covered porch with brick parilla (wood fired grill) and a wood fired pizza/ bread oven, and nice yard with flowers, herbs, lemon tree, walnut and apple trees.

Near the main house there is also a 25 meter (80 foot) tower for wireless internet access (12 mbps) that was recently installed for US $900. Internet access is US$10-15 a month and both houses have service.

The second property is 11.5 acres (4.5 hectares), is in full production with grapes, plums, and olives. There are also 3 apricot trees and quince trees for home use. The current casita is the remains of the original house. The plans are to add 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms to one side of the structure and a large new living room on the other side that would tie the house and garage together. There is city water and electricity that can be connected, it will have a new septic system and wireless internet is available with an antennae tower. There are also views of the painted mountains. This property has American, Swiss, German, and British property owners as neighbors.

Both properties can be purchased together and the secondary houses used as holiday homes (approximately US$55-75 a day for tourists on AirBnB). The sale of the property includes, all the hand tools (rakes, hoes, shovels, etc.) including the string trimmer, 2 chainsaws, power tools, plus screw drivers, wrenches, etc.

The Tractor and implements (disk cultivator, triple plow, large single plow, and double plow for opening up the water lines in the rows) are included.

Separately: Main property is US$ 275,000 and the second property for US$65,000 in current state. Purchase price together is US$315,000.

Property taxes for 2019 are US$48, Electricity averages US$25 a month. Internet is currently US$10 monthly.

Please note: There are also 1350 new Malbec vines that have been planted. These vines are cuttings from the old Malbec vines on the property. These Malbec are verified to be some of the oldest in the Province (per the Wine Institute). We have cleared a hectare of grapes, apples, and plums east of the house. Where we have planted a new Olive grove and have 285 new trees planted so far and plan on planting another 50 trees. Much better investment since Olives for oil are worth 10 times more than the plums.

Current Owner is willing to stay on through a transitional period to help new owners get up to speed.
