This property is the realisation of the "house in the South of Spain" dream. The main building consists of the original cortijo (160 years old) which has been completely rebuilt to house the living room, separate dining room, kitchen with tapas bar, guest bedroom and bathroom. A new extension was added to this to give a master bedroom with en-suite bathrooms, a utility room and a large additional room which is currently being used as a music room/office but which could be used as an additional bedroom if required. The house has been rebuilt/built is the Spanish country style with all windows fitted with Andalucian style shutters; matching Andalucian style interior and exterior doors; stone built shelving; rustic floor tiles and hand made Granada style light fittings. The original walls are 60 cm thick and the new ones are 40 cm. Of course the original walls are stone while the new are in ceramic blocks. All rooms except the music room have the full height ceilings with exposed beams; the music room has a roof terrace above so it has a normal flat roof inside which gives better acoustics. There are few doors inside (bathrooms, bedrooms excepted) the majority of the house is open with arches leading from living to dining, and kitchen to hall etc. This gives a very light an airy feeling which is much appreciated in the summer months.

A walled garden with pond, leading from the terrace with fountain, gives a cool and secluded area while still benefitting from the magnificent views. A BBQ building with water and electricity serves the outside dining area for alfresco entertaining. There is a 100 m lit gravel driveway leading through an archway to the house which continues to the parking area at the back of the house.
