This prime forest land adjacent to the Manu National Park one of the biggest Park in Peru as known as the Biosphere of Peru, The area includes primary and secondary forest, upland forest and flood plains, corresponding to the pre-mountain rainforest of the Peruvian Amazon, which shows the presence of the last foothills of the Pantiacolla mountain range, the reserve includes low land areas with little slope, while the cloud forest sector has a very rugged topography with steep slope at altitude starting 437 meters to reach 1000 meters, during all year 3 permanent streams ruing water through the territory.

The 873.3277 Hectares (2,158.7445 Acres) preserve is adjacent to the Manu National Park, approximately 290 km (180 miles) northeast of the City of Cusco. Pantiacolla is located in the buffer at the Manu Cultural Zone.

On the left bank of the coordinate (12 “39 ’08 S, 71” 13’ 48 “W) at an altitude of 437 meters (1433.73 ft) Madre Dios River close to the confluence of the mighty Madre de Dios and the Manu Rivers. The Cultural Zone is one of a combination of agribusiness farms, virgin and managed forest lands.
